A few weeks back I had the pleasure of riding the Gorlech trail, in Brechfa.  I also had the lovely pleasure of staying at the Brechfa Bunkhouse run by Jillie the farmer owner. Jilli is a very welcoming Derbyshire girl who uprooted from Dorset funny enough to settle at the edge of the incredible Bechfa Forest a few years back to tend her 4 horses, sheppard her tough and hardy rare wild breed sheep and create another little Welsh Haven for mountain bikers!

Afan Lodge is an accomodation haven for mountain bikers in South Wales. Set brilliantly in the backdrop to the famous  Afan Argoed Wall trail, just half way between the Afan Argoed Visitors centre and the Drop off Cafe at the start of the Whites trail in Glycorrwyg, in what some refer to as the as the playground of men and woman folk and others as the Valley of the Gods (Riding gods that is if course!!).
