Two great little new additions from Torq this year. Matt Hart from Torq in a very fun demonstration of all their products (I mean all!) focused on a) the new reusable screw top little container big enough for one serving whilst out on the trails and b) their new "make even Ben and Jerry's proud" delicious Strawberry and Cream Recovery drink.

At the Cycle show Matt was persistent that I tasted every one of their "Torq Energy" endurance fuels as he took me through the FULL Range. These endurance fuels are made up of a complex carbohydrate with a pure unadulterated glucose polymer. The flavours starts at Natural which is Vegan friendly and is practically tasteless, all the way through to Orange, Lemon, Lime and Lemon and Pink Grapefruit (my fav) and they also have an an organic option.

I survived my test at the "Endurance Fuel Bar" (above) and by the end of all the tasting I was totally energised to run around the exhibition 25 times!. Seriously though, I can say, that, despite tasting them all my stomach felt absolutely at ease afterwards. To me it's not all that incredibly smart technology that goes into these (and I know there is lots with their clever and unique blend of carbohydrate and electrolytes Matt attempts to educate me on) that differs Torq's range from the competition but it is the way they keep your energy levels up yet at the same time they are just very light on the stomach without that horrible after taste so common in this type of product generally.

So what's new at the show. Well with a neat twist of product realism Matt has designed a neat little reusable canister that can hold one serving of these mixtures. Matt's is demonstrating these below. So you can add and top up as you desire whilst out on the trails. It felt tough enough to stand any bike bag rough journey and it's reusable and convenient nature gets a thumbs up.

So without doing any of the associate hours spinning my wheels with these drinks, Matt moved me straight into recovery mode. Their "Torq Recovery" drinks come in different flavours also. Chocolate Orange, Banana and Mango and a Vegan option (the others used dried skimmed milk) and an option to mix any two flavours together for the ultimate Cocktail recovery effect. New at the show and my favourite is the Strawberries and Cream option. If you were served this in Ben and jerry's you'd be smiling. Surprisingly delicious you are unaware that this is anything but a strawberry milkshake.
