Whistler Heli Drop

This was a classic Whistler day out. A Heli ride to the top of Rainbow Peak for a natural descent from the snow line down to the lake. The Heli ride was only about 5 minutes but was spectacular with great views of the area.

The early morning start meant the light was fantastic. The descent was a mixture of steep rock shoots, steep rooty sections and flowing single track. We ended up by the lake were the packed lunch and cold beers that were delivered went down a treat. The afternoon was spent chilling in the shade as the temperature hit 30 degrees. We all went in to town for a meal and a few beers before bed. The story of the day is best told in the hundreds of photos that were taken. They can be seen here
