Folks, All done. Thanks for your patience. Enjoy! We are better than ever. Let me know of any teething bugs you find.

 

The main advantages will be:

  • Faster to upload content especially videos.
  • Improved playback.
  • Allows more consequtive users on at the same time.
  • Less downtime
  • Far more resilient support service.
  • To boot it is cheaper for me.

 

For the Geeks amongst you we have moved to what is know as a Virtualised server. There is 750GB of drive space to be used (for now thats tons so get uplaoding). We have a RAID - 10 hard drive, instead of RAID-1 (much faster upload). It is Dual Quad Core machine with 12GB of ram ( I have only 2GB now). I am guaranteed 2 Cores on the machine, with access to 8 cores (I only have accers to 2 now). All in all it is sweet!.
