Well as you probably all know I am taking part in this years 24/12.  I did say I would have to improve my fitness by getting out and riding more.  However if I am honest I haven't been out as much as I probably should (sure BigfootMark will agree - I will say it before you do Mark).  What you probably arent aware of is that I am doing the 24/12 with Mark, although he is on the reserve team because he just isn't upto the

standard to get on Team B - harsh but true! ;)

I have decided I will be doing the 8 mile each way commute to work each at least 3 times a week and the club night ride every other week (due to work) and as many weekend rides I can get away with without too much greif from the missus.  When I told her I would be doing the 24/12 and how much training I would need to do I thought I would have gotten a load of grief but she was surprisingly ok with it.  Only time will tell I guess.

Phil

2008-03-1821:57:39 no, he won't touch Dawn…bless her**. He just likes getting into my bed. I did catch him eating my Cheese and onion crisps the other day… I slapped him silly!
**Awaits smack around the back of the head by irate missus**

2008-03-1820:47:57 not as bad as our shower fixer - he's usually lying in my bed drinking my beer. I wouldn't mind, but my beer? Come on man, not the beer!

2008-03-1818:34:30 Nah Buster more the reason to get out, it's just uncomfortable when he comes round when I am sat on the sofa and he's "fixing the shower"

2008-03-1818:22:39 How will you manage to get up early enough to do it?

2008-03-1816:51:18 Beware Phil , i think your "missus" is lining up time to entertain her "fancyman"…
i know my wife would warn me of being out of the picture for too long.
Good luck with the event and the training - if you can bear to leave the house now.
Time to get an indoor trainer?
