Just signed up for my second race; the Vigne-a-vigne, a 21km mtb race on Lourensford Estate. The idea of the race is to experience as well the party of the Cape Epic, since the finish for this race is on the same place. Cool idea, although am a bit worried, since they really didn't place a proper route de_script_ion on their site. Always like to know what I get myself into. The positive news is that it is marked as a beginner race and from other riders at the Argus, I understood that they won't try to kill you on these races, that only comes later in the year....

Anybody else going?

They do give lucky prizes at the finish line; I really hope that it is in the form of a cold beer

Again this is organized on a wine estate, so my non-cycling wine loving husband offered to come along. Provided I would drive on the way back as well of course

Oh well, as soon as I have picked up my bike from the shop, the gears are being fixed again, I can hit the trails.
