Oh yes this year is going to be so busy i`m craping it lolol , I need to finish of my assesment for my technical mountain bike leader which i did the first part last year as its in two parts i passed that first , so i`m qualifeid to take riders out but the second part is to allow you to charge people so hopefully i can make a new life in what i enjoy the most mountain biking ,I missed out on a job in switzerland last month as a mountain bike guide but they have put my name in there files for the future , so this year i`m going there for a week ,later on in the year , but i want to go to france , chamonix do some of there trails and climb some of there passes and i`m thinking of going to Lake garda in the middle of the year as well then hopefully i will have gained some of the more technical side of the different terrains around the world . plus in march i do my First Aid in LLandegla for out door pursuit and its reconised world wide which is what i need plus it only £160 for 2 days Bargain ...so im going to be very busy plus im thinking of going down to afon forrest in the next couple of weeks do some mad single track riding

Just had a session in my local woods in North London.

Funny all you really need is couple of logs a bit of space and some ditches, throw in some roots and mud for luck and you can kill 2 hours in the simplest of places.

Spent first 20 minutes dodging prams and finding a few sweet natural rooty drops and steep bits (really small but wake or more warm you up)

I'm worked on getting bunnyhops a but higher (we are not talking high here) but lifting the front wheel earlier and compressing more the back wheel to create a spring certainly helped.

I also played with wheelies as pre cursor to mastering the manual. Funny when I go slow it is cool especially if my knees are wide form the pedals and I'm working on having straighter arms which certainly helps.

I moved on the the manuals. I spent a lot of time jumping off the back of my bike but I take this as a sign I'm starting to commit more. I also managed about 5 feet at one point but I think this was luck but what felt right for those few blissful seconds was having my butt right back behind the wheel. Lots of practice to go here.

Finally I did Cutties. I know I committed loads here as there are about 10 beautiful imprints of my body in Queens Wood now. Skidding is tons easier. Trying to get the same turn with all your weight on the front wheel and no break to slide you back wheel round whilst still retaining control is tough.

hopefully tomorrow get out again. Either more of the same (really keen to spend a whole hour on manuals) the same or Epping.

Anyway fun session. Where are all you North London riders???

How is everyone else's riding today.

I went to Glentress on Saturday - day and night-ride. It was amazing.
We did the free ride and some reds and blues at night. To anyone who hasn't done a night-ride before I totally recommend it!
I can't wait to go back! I may be going next weekend possibly...

Took PVW to Thetford over the weekend. we had muchly fun in the sunshine. Girlie doing just great, but seems to have taken a liking to my bike...Think that Mister Tom has been telling her a few things!!
Really do enjoy the new part of the red...spesh when my wee one with me...such a good start for her to get to grips with mini berms and switch backs
Hope to take her out again this saturday too...not sure where at yet.....??
