Great ride today in Swinley with Shazimat so pysched for next weeks meet. We bumped into some friendly riders (Tom and Andy)whilst working put which way round the map should be and they led the way. Sweet singletrack took us up to the resevoir where at the top there are five downhill routes to play on. Berms, tabletops, drops the lot. We sessioned, sessioned and sessioned . All rollable or with chicken runs so all abilities can play. Killer climb up but worth it each time.

Then we went into the forest for some more singletrack and ended up at a really sweet downhill run that again was awesome. MY gears went funny and my chain snapped (thankfully had my 9 speed Sram power _link_ handy). After that so I got cranky fighting with my bike. will sort her tonight. Shazimat is coming next week and hopefully the guys we met up with who were stars showing us the ropes of what Swinley has to offer.

I think the trick with Swinley is being with people who know their way as it is a warren.

Tomorrow is a climbing morning and a Queens wood skills session in the afternoon. Tonight I fix Stumpy.

Tom, Good to hear you getting some skills training in. Met up today with Shazi (shazimat) and Gareth (i4_uk) to whizz round Queens Wood and practice some hops and wheelies. My gears are still slipping all over and I think my cassette and chain may need changing. Getting on my nerves immensely though. Sweet day. Knackered now as Shazi dragged me to the climbing centre first in the morning;( Fun day and good to meet you Gareth. Next week planning to meet Stuart (Stubobaloo), Shaz and Gareth again (plus whoever else makes it) hopefully in Queens Wood Saturday 10.00 at the cafe.
