Buster
Warm up your sympathy glands! Medical information supplied.

My knee (lefty) swelled up on Thursday and by Saturday my ankle had too. The pictures were taken after the worst of the swelling had started to subside (if you have the stomach for it). Worst is I dont know how I got it. I fell off my bike 3 weeks ago scab is almost gone so it couldnt be that. My whole leg and knee is enflamed and feels like a weird pins and needles. Doc has put me on a stiff course of anti-biotics, anti-inflamatories and a non -alcohol diet. "Pre-patela busitus" the Doc calls it - look itup if you want more info, I dare you. I mean what is a guy supposed to do? Recupation isnt all it is cracked up to be.... Besides suggestions of entries to the knobbly knees competion and amputation the doctor thinks i should be ok by next weekend. My training for the 100km event on the 10th has been hit for 6 so I may have to start off (again) with a few short rides in the following week or so. Awaiting your many and various expressions of sympathy.

Buster (aka Rider Down)

hi richard when some thing like this happens , its for a reason , your body is saying slow down , i've had problems in the past crashed time off bike but when i get back i feel like a new man , so let your body rest , that's all it want's to do , you are putting in the miles that was needed to much and you can burn out and go stale , you will notice this when you do start getting fitter and your at your peak things happen , and your body is telling you to slow down , so listen to what your body is telling you .. smilies/wink.gif your knees are like your face smilies/wink.gifha only joking lol , just rest mate ok ..

What is prepatellar bursitis (knee bursitis)?
Prepatellar bursitis, also known as housemaid's knee, is a common cause of swelling and pain on top of the kneecap. The name "housemaid's knee" comes from the association of this condition with individuals whose work necessitates kneeling for extended periods of time.

Buster is there something you are not telling us? smilies/wink.gif smilies/grin.gif

Doc has changed thier minds now. It isnt that (apparently) but they havent got a name for what they think now, just inflamation. Drugs are pretty drowsy making so i am snoozing and dribbling over myself most of the time.
Nice eh?
