In the distance is chew valley , below the valley is DoveStone Res, it's an excellent place for mountain biking to the right you can see some woods below this ,is a single track that start's in Ashton-u-Lyne and is well known by all local mountain bike riders . Today i just stayed on the road just to get some miles in my legs and some hill work , saddleworth is a mecca for hills ,

Dovestone Res

The saddleworth moores offer's a varied type of riding and Dovestone Res is ideal for family's and young people who are new to mountain biking , it's a place for walker's and yacting as this lake is also well known for there compitions . Above the tops there is also a good ride but very tricky and sometime's dangerous , but it's veiws are amazing , when i arrived up to saddleworth and looked back i could see manchester and the surrounding areas ,

When i arrived at the top off waterhead this is the veiw you get , i was nice and warm when i arrived at this point as the climb was sheltered , no wind just the sun shining down on me , sweat was rolling down my sunglasses on to my cheeks , i felt really good today middle ring and middle casset legs are strong , once over the top the views were amazing , then the wind hit me , how cold chill factor must of been -3 , it's was all down hill from here into Uppermill , this wind is so cold and my toe's were feeling the cold , In the distance i could see thick clouds more snow on the way , i wanted to go to Dovestone's and get some pictures there to ,but saddleworth is not a place to play around with the weather , so i decided to go up to the right of  to Greenfield , then head over the tops back into Ashton-u-Lyne .. then home ... In all i did 2hrs of riding and it was nice to get out and see the country side in which i live near to , Saddleworth is a nice place for walking and riding and in the summer they have the Brass Bands Compition and they come from all over the world and this is the place they come ,,
